HP Touchpad - Texas Teck / Houston Wallpaper

I got a request for an HP Touchpad wallpaper since I don't have one I had to go out and find the resulotion with was similar to the iPad 1024x768 but it was 72 dpi instead of the iPads 132 so there was no problem there. The request was for a Texas Tech with an image of the new QB Seth Doege, who is killin' it by the way, and an image of Andre Johnson with the schedules for both the Red Raiders and the Texans and it needed to be done in the same style that I have been currently been doing. Which is great because I love this new style. With this wallpaper I basically had to do the image in a small window 768x768 because if it is verical it will read the 768x1024 and if on the side it will be 1024x768 so there would be some clipping if I didn't. This wall took quite a bit more time as it was two wallpapers in one, but it was worth it because I think it turned out great and I'm really happy with. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to test it on so all I can do is cross my fingers and hope everything turned out right.

Baylor is a bunch of fucking tools for sure, but their were a few fans that joined in on the fun. Which was better then Texas which banned me from 2 boards. Longhorns have no sense of humor.

Far Week: Iowa State University

The fucking ISU Cyclones actually beat TTU 52-38 in the biggest shit game since last years A&M loss. Didn't really have many ideas coming into this game because you know it's Iowa State.

Thinking Arby's turned out well I think mainly because it's simple and the homerotic image of ISU obsession with wrestling.

Not my finest idea ever a take on their chicken/cardinal mascot thing.

As you can see not at a lot of farks for ISU.

How to change your Avatar on Scout.com / RaiderPower

This is a pretty common question on RaiderPower because the answer is often lost in all the threads so I thought it would be helpful to post it here for those of you that use the avatars that I created.

Sign in to Raider power and go to one of the forums in the upper right hand corner click “My Menu”

Now click “My Profile”

Under Signature click “EDIT our profile now”

Under Avatar click “Change”

Click browse and go to your avatar that should be NO bigger the 100x100 and saved on your computer.

Once your avatar is selected click save. I have noticed in Firfox the save is sometimes hidden so you need to expand or maximize the window.

Don’t worry if it doesn’t show up immediately, because Scout can take up to 24 hours to add or change your avatar.
Hope this helps.

Let’s face it Twitter is cool, but they only have so many backgrounds. Sure most people don’t actually go to your page to read your tweets, but personally I like to visit Twitter pages occasionally just to see them. I think it shows a lot about one’s personality and you don’t want to advertize how bland you are.

I am by no means a design expert, I’ve tried to look at others with cool twitter pages and try an emulate them. Honestly there is only a couple of ways I know how to design for it, either with a background and a small image or just a background. Far mine I used just a background. It might not be the best method but it’s my favorite method.

What you have to keep in mind when designing your background is that your monitor resolution controls the placement of your background. Resolution varies drastically from old school 1024x 768 to widescreens with 1600x900 or larger.

I used photoshop to design my image and made it 2050x1000. Tiled images bug the shit out of me, so I wanted to make it large.

There are lots of image programs you can use like Gimp or SumoPaint.

Make sure your image is not over 800k in size or Twitter will not accept it.

Go to twitter and sign in, click setting then design.

Don’t worry about the Theme you are going to completely customize it.

First thing first click “Change Background”

The browse button will appear so browse out to your image and double click it.

Make sure tile image is unchecked. Then click “Save Changes”

Your Image is loaded. Now click “Change Design Colors”

We want to match or pick colors that will go better with your design. Here is what I ended up with.

Photoshop and Denise Milani Request

Full versions of my Denise Milani avatars have been requested a few times. So I’m going to givefill those request with an added tutorial on how to edit them a bit to your needs.

You can Google Denise Milani and find her sets she has a ton of them. However at this time she hasn’t done any nudity. I know sad right?

Here is the original photo from my personal avatar.It is from the set Burgundy Bikini set.

I use photoshop but if you don't have photoshop there are other programs available like gimp or sumopaint. Now I am going to cut out Denise or the areas I want to use. To do this I use the pen tool to make my selection and then duplicate (ctrl j) that area that way if I missed something or need reference to the original image I have it as a layer.

After you have the general shape cut out and duplicated. You can go after the hair. As much as I love hair, I hate hair it is the biggest pain in the ass known to PS users. the first step is to use the smudge tool to smudge them out and then because she has such dark hair in all the light parts I'm going to use the hue/saturation adjustment to make it dark. Then I have downloaded some hair brushes from devieant art so I will just brush some strands on. Use anew layer for at least each brush. I like to use a different layer for each stroke that may I can manipulate it much easier if I need to. I also like to add all the hair layers to a group. Just make it easier. Don't get discouraged you can spent hours and hours and hours trying to get it right. I'm not going to spend that amount of time today this is good enough for our purposes.

Now I'm going to show you how to change the color of her bikini. Texas Tech's colors are red and black so I want a bright red bikini. If you are a Michigan or Heaven forbid a Texas Fan you can adjust her bikini to your colors. Here's how. Use the pen tool to make her bikini a selection, (*use the pen tool I know it's hard at first but in the long run it makes it easier and you can put a 1 or a 2 feather on a cut like this its viatal for a more samless transition) anlucky for us Denise Milani has a great rack and not much covering it so this part is fun even though it's distracting, duplicate the selection (ctrl J) this will make it a new layer which is vital. Now ctrl, Shift, U to desaturate the layer. Yes it will look all grey.

Now with your desaturate bikini layer selected we are going to change the color. hit CTRL U to bring up the hue/saturation adjustment tool. Make sure the colorize box is checked. Their are three main options; hue, saturation and lightness we only need to play with the top 2. Move saturation up to show the color and then play with the Hue to set it to your color. The key is to play with the setting until you get something you like.

Here is an example.

The legs look kida messed up because there is rocks and grass on top of them and at this point you can do 3 things leave them alone, which will look shitty, patch them so they are all silky smooth, or add some of the background so it make sense. I like the latter option because she has sand all over her and I like the beach so I'm going to make the original layer viewable then use the eleptical selection tool with a large feather because it's a huge image and select a little part of the sand underneath those legs on the the original layer. Ctrl J to duplicate it and then hide that original layer again.

Then I'll add a few adustment layers and a high pass filter to really make the image pop. If I wanted to add a logo I could do it now, but here is my final image.

Well it was a heartbreaking loss, the win was there for the Tech, but that's college football. AS a lay awake last night disappointed and disgusted with the outcome of the game, second guessing, bitching and moaning I came to a realization. My hats off to the players especially the D guys they asses off and I am and they should be proud. It was a humid bitch out their and our efforts were aw inspiring. A large segment of Raider Nation seems to be in disarray with crying and whining for the most part they will be fine after next week's New Mexico ass whipping while others are going to continue with the negativity. These are the same old people that never say shit when we are winning, but come out of the wood work to cry gloom and doom when things go wrong. These people aren't fans, they are fair weather motherfuckers a real fan sticks with his team ups and downs.

Houston Cougars: Congratulations guys it was a great win for your program and ya'll are some classy fans. The photoshop wars were a blast. Good Luck on your season and beat the shit out of everyone else, especially TCU.

When doing a photoshop every professional will tell you to start with a plan. I never have a plan. They are always random and come from a good picture tht sparks my imagination take the one for example. I couldn't find any more good pictures of Case Keenum and the "Cougar" search was netting me jack and shit so I decided to look for Houston Cougar coach Kevin Sumlin and along with some quality head shots I also saw this movie poster of LittleMan

It didn't take but a fraction of a second after seeing that picture that the idea for "Little Cougar" was born

I could have problem done a little better job, but I rushed it. Still I think it's pretty damn funny.
